Ted Mason On Air
Ted Mason, a professor of English and an expert in African American literature, joined a National Public Radio broadcast August 2 to help launch a month-long literature series called "Inside the Black Literary Imagination" on the program News & Notes.
Kenyon's Foreign Legion
At any given moment during the academic year, and often during the summer, you can find a Kenyon student on any of six continents (sorry, Antarctica).
Where Writers Grow
The writing tradition at Kenyon is nurtured in notebooks. In the Kenyon Review Young Writers Program, pen is put to paper, and the computer lab comes later. The instrument that has served the writer as the piano has served the composer comes into prominent play during two-week sessions that have attracted 120 teenagers from around the country to the campus this summer.
Kenyon students have three months between every school year to build experiences, make connections, and pursue their interests in the world beyond Gambier.
Looking at Law
A new summer research program has students delving into legal questions, from theories of Constitutional interpretation to up-close studies of how the poor fare in litigation.
Hoopsters Take Their Game to Italy
The Kenyon College men's basketball team members have said arrivederci to Gambier and embarked on an eight-day trek to Italy this week. Head Coach Matt Croci is leading ten members of the team on the excursion, during which they will play three exhibition games and tour Rome, Tuscany, and Milan.
Kenyon Alumni College
How would you like to be a student again on the Gambier Hill? The first-ever Alumni College will be held on Sunday, September 30-Tuesday, October 2, 2007, immediately following Homecoming at Kenyon. Alumni and parents will have the opportunity to take seminars taught by Kenyon faculty members Royal Rhodes and Pamela Jensen, as well as President S. Georgia Nugent. There is also the option of attending certain classes with current students. Registration materials are available now. Contact Sonya Broeren at email@example.com. There are still a few spots left!
